The Vectir Bluetooth Remote Control feature turns your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone into a universal PC remote control. Browse playlists, skip tracks, adjust the volume, control presentations plus much more without having to be located at your computer. Vectir works with the Microsoft, Toshiba and Broadcomm/Widcomm stacks without any setup requirements - just connect from your phone. The BlueSoleil Bluetooth stack is supported with a COM port connection. Requirements - A Bluetooth enabled mobile phone that supports the Java JSR-82 and MIDP 2.0 profiles - A PC with Bluetooth hardware and installed drivers - The Vectir PC software installed on your PC Infrared remote controls have been used widely to control PC applications that support shortcut keys. For this to works, there should be an interface between the remote control device and operating system to decode infrared remote control data signals to the PC application. Here is a useful PC remote control application that can be used to control various PC applications via a Bluetooth enabled mobile phone or infrared (IR) remote control, named as Vectir.
